What to Wear

You can wear anything that shows off your family and children’s personalities.  Anything bold & bright will photograph well.  Think color with those layers and textures.  They photograph well and will add pop to your photographs.  Think accessories. Like a great scarf or hat or galoshes. Add layers and textures. Think scarves (light weight or winter weight), hats, jackets, blazers, ties, denim, knits and corduroy. Long sleeves under short sleeves, leggings under skirts/dresses. Fun shoes like tall boots or sassy heels.  A lot of times barefoot is best, weather permitting.  A variety of textures will give your photos some extra punch to go with your great smile. You don’t have to be matchy matchy with all the family members but do think about what kind of feel you want the portraits to have in the end.  Keep it timeless and focused on your faces, not your clothes.

Be sure to check out the blog postings about what to wear because I have some sample outfits for the whole family.

The biggest question…. Where to shop? These are some great stores to check out online (or in real life for some of them) for outfits.  Happy shopping!
