I love the concentration that Gavin has while he is creating art.
I love that he loves creating art.
I hope he keeps that love for a lifetime.

About Allison Jacobs Photography
About me... I love Starbucks soy latte with 2 pumps of hazelnut. I think that learning my Droid X came with a Kindle reader already installed was a wonderful surprise. Celebrate is my word for 2011. The best thing about the weekend is spending it with my family. I believe I was born to live near the ocean. I am a runner. Learning about photography everyday makes me happy. I learned how to cook from watching the Food Network. Hmmm....that is not everything about me but hopefully it is enough for you to look through my blog and maybe leave me a comment or 2 so I know you were here! XOXO

Another gorgeous day at Balboa Park. It has been such a fabulous gift having season passes to the San Diego Zoo this year. Gavin loves the sky view and having season passes means we can ride back & forth as many times as he wants. I love the vintage feel to the carrousel and small plane ride outside the zoo too.

A few weeks ago Gavin and Scott stopped by the grocery store without me and I only expected them to come home with the everyday things we needed. Instead Gavin came charging into the house with a huge grin on his face carrying these gorgeous purple flowers. He told me that he picked them out and asked Scott if he could buy them for me. Oh, hello goodness. I love that he was thinking about me and wanted to get me something he thought would make me happy. It did make me happy. He makes me happy. What a wonderful life.

Some great summer ideas for outfits for the family here.

Lots of movement going on right now. So much movement in fact that it is making me dizzy. When we stopped by Aliso Beach for a bit on Monday all I had was my cell phone camera but these crazy waves just couldn’t be missed. The red flags were out, no swimming, and the strength of the waves had forced the lifeguards to make four rescues already. It reminded me of life. Sometimes the waves seem manageable so I swim right out there anyway. I am thankful that there are people willing to swim in behind me to pull me safely to shore.
