Part of photography for me is gathering up the memories.
Gathering up the moments in this wonderful life that I don’t want to forget.
Having a place to keep these gathered moments in time is important to me which is one reason why I blog.
I recently came across a fabulous idea via Pinterest for gathering up memories on scraps of paper, keeping them in a jar then reading them on New Years Day. When I clicked to go to the original source by brooke reynolds I found she was writing down funny things her kids were saying so that she wouldn’t forget. I might end up with a combination of these two ideas for my jar.
I already found the jar I want to use that I picked up from my grandmother somewhere along the way. I love that the lid says, “refrigerator and pantry jar with 101 uses”. I sat this vintage (or is it antique?) jar on top of a metal cigar box filled with buttons my grandmother had gathered over time. I don’t know why she kept so many buttons (it is filled to the top) except that she sewed and maybe there was a time that she thought they would be handy.
