G would wear Crocs every.single.day if I let him which in fact I did over the summer. Then when it was time for preschool to start up in August I took him to buy a brand new pair of sneakers. I was super excited & thought he was too until we started walking to the car in those brand new sneakers. This walk also included lots of stopping with crossed arms (him not me) and tears because he said they hurt his feet. We did make it to the car & he wore the shoes until they wore out but when given a choice he will always pick Crocs. This was taken in the backyard on Saturday (love, love, love that he can wear shorts & Crocs in February here).

The inspiration for day 3 of Joy of Love is to capture your loved one in a then & now moment so I had G stand in the backyard and hold a frame with two photos of himself from a few years ago one where he had been playing in the backyard. He has always loved being outside and it is so amazing to reflect on how much he has grown up. It seems like the days have gone by too quickly.

Joy of Love day 2:

Capture how they look…capture the person’s essence…capture that expression that says it all…this expression says, “You really want to take my photo now when all I want to do is go to the carousel?’

This next one is just for fun…because you know if you don’t feel like smiling for the camera you can just always hold up a train.

I have followed Willette’s blog for a while now and I love all the helpful hints she posts for photography so I was really excited to learn she was providing one of her workshops free of charge.  This is the Joy of Love for the month of February and I have completed the first assignment.  It wasn’t hard to find G doing something he loves and snap away.  I loved watching her quick video on finding the light even if I can’t always get G to move where I want him to be in order to get the best light!
