Trying to get through the 400+ photos that I took on Monday. Here is my fave so far. Be back with more after editing! It was really windy & you can see how the strings were all tied up but G had a blast. Which isn’t what really matters?

About Allison Jacobs Photography
About me... I love Starbucks soy latte with 2 pumps of hazelnut. I think that learning my Droid X came with a Kindle reader already installed was a wonderful surprise. Celebrate is my word for 2011. The best thing about the weekend is spending it with my family. I believe I was born to live near the ocean. I am a runner. Learning about photography everyday makes me happy. I learned how to cook from watching the Food Network. Hmmm....that is not everything about me but hopefully it is enough for you to look through my blog and maybe leave me a comment or 2 so I know you were here! XOXO

The theme for P52 this week is leadership. I had a few ideas for this them that were a little outside the typically leadership box. What I ended up with as my fave photo from the bunch might be a stretch. I looked at leadership through my four year old’s eyes and ended up with a photo of him and his stuffed animals. He is definitely the leader here. The balloon, well, that was just for fun.

Recently I joined The Bloom Forum for photographers and there are a few Project 52 groups (where you take one photo a week for a year). I am a little late joining but the girls have been so welcoming. This week the theme is shades of red-love. After thinking about it all day at work Monday I had a few ideas to try out that included G but when he ended up getting sick I had to go a different direction. I ended up with this.
His shoes. My shoes. His heart which he gave to me this week. Pure love.

Another edition of what to wear right here. Keep in mind that layering & accessories can really make a big difference when you are trying to come up with outfits for those fun family portraits. Try to coordinate but not match each other exactly. Both of these tips will add visual interest to your photos. Wear something comfortable that makes you feel great!

For day 12 (yes, I have missed a few days & will need to catch up somehow…maybe like this summer or something) the assignment is to photograph your loved ones eyes. My hubby is always wearing his sunglasses so here is he just as he usually looks but he is sitting in the stands at Petco Park yesterday and you can see some of the outfield in the reflection of his glasses which shows one of his loves and me in the other lens so I thought it was a fitting photo for the assignment.
