About me... I love Starbucks soy latte with 2 pumps of hazelnut. I think that learning my Droid X came with a Kindle reader already installed was a wonderful surprise. Celebrate is my word for 2011. The best thing about the weekend is spending it with my family. I believe I was born to live near the ocean. I am a runner. Learning about photography everyday makes me happy. I learned how to cook from watching the Food Network. Hmmm....that is not everything about me but hopefully it is enough for you to look through my blog and maybe leave me a comment or 2 so I know you were here! XOXO
For my birthday we went to, yep, you guessed it, Balboa Park. I got some great images of the buildings and S stood really still and let me get some practice with sunflare too.
Then we headed to the harbor, parked, and walked around some. It was crowded and I didn’t take many shots although there were some that I think I will have to return to try and get later on someday.
We have now officially been in California for about 10 weekends and we have been to the farmer’s market about 5 of those weekends (when I wrote this post it was October but I took the photos in August)! I cannot believe how much fun I think it is to go to Old Town for the market then have lunch, wander around the shops down there (always ending in The Sweet Shop for a treat) all just enjoying the day.
There is almost no place I would rather be than at the beach and the beaches here in southern California are just amazing. I love everything about the beach. The sand, the smell, the breeze coming off the ocean. In these photos you can tell that someone else is as excited as I am about living here.
Just a few photos from a recent trip to Balboa Park in San Diego. Love this place. So photo worthy that I just couldn’t bear to put the camera down.
This last photo just had to be in black & white. I love the classic southern California palm trees with that gorgeous architecture in the background.
