This is the third month that I have had the opportunity to take belly shots for this gorgeous mama. We have been taking them about the same time every month so she can send the photos to her family who is pretty much all out of state so they can keep up with all the belly changes. It has been so cool to compare month to month and I just can’t wait until the summer to meet this little guy. And I also have to mention how up for anything this mama is when it comes to poses and places to shoot. I wasn’t sure whether to agree or not when she wanted to climb up a group of rocks and lay on a tree sort of hanging over the edge of the creek…but I love how they all turned out.

So, I had big plans for a birthday shoot out with my very own 4 year old today. I had my mom being my photo assistant (thanks mom) and grabbed some balloons then headed out bravely into the wind. I love how this first photo captures him just as he is at this moment. Isn’t that what photography is really about? Grabbing that one moment in time and stopping the clock so maybe we have a chance of not forgetting anything? Even though he is actually smiling in at least 100 of the photos I took this photo just struck a chord with me. He was waiting for a train to pull into the station and looks so serious about it not to mention all boy. Oh my heart just melts with love for this little guy.

What to wear? What to wear? That is a great question and something that we all think about when we are planning to have family photos taken. So, here is another installment of what to wear ideas! You can check out this site for some good coupons for Old Navy (although I just noticed that they are moving their coupon hunt to the social networking sites on April 1st). If you like to shop from home in your PJ’s then you can shop here and add items from five different stores for one shipping cost (and sometimes no shipping depending on the specials) getting both the outfits you want plus the shoes (but don’t forget that bare feet make some great photos too!). Here is to hoping that spring is really here (including sundresses and flip flops) and we won’t get another blast of snow!

It was so much fun {I mean really fun} getting to hang out with these three adorable sisters on Friday in Houston and take their picture. They are really sweet with each other and you can just see the love in this family. The little one was all about following around the older two sisters and was actually the easiest of the three to capture in a still moment. I also had a blast getting to use my new camera which doesn’t seem to be taking me as long to get used to as I thought it might. Thank goodness! So far it does everything my last Canon did but better and faster!

I couldn’t ask for more right now. The sun is shinning and the weather is gorgeous. Perfect morning to spend at the neighborhood park so here are a couple of shots of G from today. He is such a boy, wanting to take off his shoes, dig his hands in the dirt, and go faster on the tire swing. I love this kid.

I am still working on editing all the photos from this shoot. There were just so many good ones to choose from mainly because this little guy has such a great easy going personality. He was super easy to photograph and when dad was making him laugh he was all smiles. Gotta love that.
Be sure to check back in tomorrow because I plan to finish my favorites from the railroad tracks and get them uploaded here!

Well it just might (finally) be getting warmer here in Texas so I thought I would post a little what to wear sample for you! Can I just add how excited I am that it is warmer? I am so excited. Here is a cute sample of outfits for the whole family. You can see how to color coordinate without completely just getting matchy matchy. Just think about color and comfort. Two of the most important components for what to wear for photos. Color looks great. Period. That is about all on that subject! Next you want to be comfortable in what you have on or it will show in the pictures. Think about your location and what kind of poses you may end up trying then wear clothes you feel good in so your confidence will show through in the end photos.

I just got this little accordion album in the mail today and I couldn’t wait one minute to take photos to post on here to show you just how cute it is. Both of the canvas sides are magnetic so they will hold the album on the fridge (or any magnetic surface) as well as helping the album to stay closed when you want it that way. I think I am in love. It is double sided with photos even though this photo only shows one side and measures 3″x3″. You will just have to have one or two or three of these for yourself.

So, I am still working on editing the photos from my two shoots last weekend but had to add this photo from yesterday. This is the second month I have taken pics for Jen just to track that growing belly. I mean who doesn’t love a great pregnant belly? Love this! I only wish I had taken pictures once a month while I was pregnant too.
