We went out about an hour before sunset to get these gorgeous photos on the RR tracks.  The first ones were taken in downtown Katy after all the shops had closed.  I heart that white brick wall.

Another what to wear to hopefully finish off this hot weather we are having here in Texas!  Just remember when you are choosing clothes for your next family session to pick clothes that have colors that flow well together but they don’t have to match exactly.  Try to think outside the box and move away from dressing the whole family in the same color shirt to get those portraits that will really make art for your walls.

I have been so blessed to be able to watch as my friend experienced the joys of pregnancy.  I have loved being there each step of the way to share her journey and part of that has been the wonderful gift of taking her portrait throughout the last 9 months.  Here she is almost to the end of this time ready to step into the next phase of motherhood.  Isn’t it amazing?

These are from a few weeks ago at Herman Park in Houston since I seem to be at least a few weeks behind on all my editing thanks to our upcoming move across the country I will just keep posting as I get them done!

I had so much fun getting to photograph this sweet baby girl who was only five days old.  Her momma told me she had been awake most of the day and had just eaten when I got to the house so we were both totally certain that she would fall right to sleep.  We couldn’t have been more wrong.  I was there over two hours….probably close to three hours and she was wide awake the whole time.  Don’t be fooled by those shots where she looks asleep.  She was just resting her eyes!

So, what do you wear for a photo session?  Something lightweight & cool is a great place to start.  Wear those flip flops and kick off your shoes. Pack that cute summer hat and even just carry it as a great accessory.  Let the little ones wear those easy breezy sundresses.  Here are a few outfit suggestions to get you thinking about how you can dress your family for that next summer session.

With all that we have had going on lately with the house for sale and the big move coming up I haven’t been posting as much as I like but I am so excited to post a couple of pics from a senior session I had last weekend.  It was so much fun to get to hear about her plans for her senior year including getting those college apps ready.  I don’t think I was thinking that far ahead back then!

I am so super excited to be able to offer this that there just aren’t words!  I have been researching photo jewelry for a while now and finally found this company which I think offers the perfect style of jewelry for those great family moments!  It is even a Dallas based company which I love…gotta love supporting local businesses!

Prices available upon request.

This momma’s love just pours out onto her super cutie baby girl.   Nothing better than capturing that love on film.  Even if it is digital film…

This family was the most fun to photograph a few weeks ago at Bear Creek Park.  There were ten people which included three generations!  It was such an honor to try to capture some moments for them while they had everyone here in town together.
